hey, what’s up, hello

Happy Fri-YAY! If you’re reading this, you’ve stumbled on my little piece of the web! I’ve loved all things creative since I was little (you can read more about me HERE!) & this is just a little space to have some fun! While James (my honey!) is away, he’s really encouraged me to grow in so many different ways, One of those ways is to try new things…this is just one of those! On Friday’s, I’m going to be posting a list of five things, and because I love ya, I’ll add a link for you to get your hands on them (if they’re purchasable, of course) These “things” will be a mixture of what I’m loving, what I’m learning, and what I just can’t live without.

Five things:
I’m loving right now

Peace & Calming - Young Living Essential Oil

I have totally hopped on the essential oil train. I waited for what feels like forever to take the plunge, but I’m so glad I finally did! Not only did they help James tremendously when a random *strep like* bug hit him (story for another time), they have transformed my sleep. In all seriousness, I haven’t been sleeping well lately (also a story for another time), and a few of my favorite oils have me sleepin’ like a baby.

Peace and Calming is a bled of Ylang Ylang, Orange, Tangerine, Patchouli, and Blue Tansy. It came as part of the starter kit and is the most amazing thing ever! I like to add 5 drops of P&C, 5 drops of Lavender, and 5 drops of Stress away, another Young Living Oil Blend, to my diffuser. It’s the most peaceful, calming, gentle, soothing (all the things!!!) blend ever. As soon as I get home from work, this is on and helps me unwind from a busy day!

I never can drink enough water, which I feel like is a problem for most. I know I need to do it; everything always seems better, including my skin which is an uphill battle lately. James bought me the huge water bottle for Christmas, which…has definitely helped. Just recently I got a huge tumbler. Since it’s stainless steel, I add citrus vitality oils to help me drink more – my favorite is orange. Pop a steel straw in the cup and I’m good to go! The best part is that it stays cold for HOURS! No other tumbler (I’ve gone through a few) compares to the length of time ice stays frozen / drinks stay cold.

If you know anything about me, you know I loveeee (emphasis on the love) me some coffee. If there is one thing I can look forward to each day, it’s sipping on my coffee. My go-to drink, from any coffee shop, is a latte with a splash of half and half and a dash of cinnamon. To make this Keto, I swap the half and half for heavy cream, this is SUPER creamy and delicious, but I find I can’t ever actually finish it. So I’ll swap the latte for an Americano and add my cream and cinnamon and YUM!

I don’t exactly know when this happened…but I’ve become a bit of what one might call a “pen snob”, and honestly I’m not even ashamed! I write so much throughout the day and about a year ago I stumble on these bad boys and I haven’t looked back. They are SUPER fine point and they are ball point. I’ve yet to fine a similar pen that offers the same thin strokes with no ink smearing across the paper when I rub my had over it (seriously never fails). I buy them in bulk so I always have one on hand!

The very best amazon skirt

ALRIGHT, because I’m obviously a blogger now…kidding! But yall, this skirt!! Under $20 and is seriously the cutest. I paired it with a chambray top, knotted. Would also be darling with a tucked in tee. It was too easy to look put together, which I’m ALL about!

I’m wearing a size Large - HERE

I’ll see ya here next Friday!
